Toby’s major loss experience includes historic houses and listed buildings, including liability issues in respect of houses open to the public. Toby also has experience of property damage and business interruption in relation to commercial office premises, schools and colleges, hotels, public houses and restaurants, engineering, manufacturing and food processing; domestic and commercial oil contamination claims including liability issues, and high net worth properties including thatched buildings.
Toby began his adjusting career at Thomas Howell Selfe (now Crawford) in 1984 gaining knowledge and experience in a broad spectrum of claims. Following a move in 1990 to another major loss adjusting company, he joined their Complex and Major Loss team where his major loss experience included explosion damage following the IRA bombings of the City of London, damage to electricity supply networks within the UK and Channel Islands, historic houses and listed buildings, including liability issues in respect of houses open to the public.
Toby joined Ellis May in 2006, prior to its acquisition by Vericlaim and is Head of Technical Claims.
