Sean is a member of our Engineering Team covering Scotland and deals with renewable energy, lifting equipment, construction plant, boiler and printing equipment claims.
In 1996 Sean started a Merchant Navy Engineering Cadetship with the Corporation of Trinity House at the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, graduating in 1999 with a HND in Marine Engineering. From 1999-2005 Sean served as an Engineering Officer on board oil tankers with Vela International and latterly Holland America Cruise lines where he was responsible for main engine and ancillary equipment repair and maintenance.
After coming ashore, Sean worked as a compressed air Service Engineer before moving into facilities management with WL Gore at their facility in Livingstone and News Printers at their then new printing press on the outskirts of Glasgow. In 2008 Sean started with RSA as an Engineer Surveyor, carrying out Thorough Examinations of lifting equipment and plant as well as small pressure systems on wind turbines. He also carried out EN81:80 surveys for the improvement of lifts and witnessed load tests for bespoke equipment manufactured by clients. He was an infield trainer of new and existing surveyors.
Sean moved to Zurich Engineering in 2016 as an Engineer Surveyor before joining the Sedgwick Vericlaim Engineering team in May 2018.
