As a dual qualified Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Surveyor, Nicholas specialises in higher value building losses. He has been involved in the management and handling of high profile multi million pound losses, but also manages general commercial property and business interruption losses. He has played a significant role in catastrophe responses in various flood, stormand hurricane events in the UK and overseas.
Nicholas initially qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and practised in a surveying consultancy for a number of years before moving to adjusting with McLarens in 1995, in the general property sector. He then specialised in subsidence and project management of insurance reinstatement works, ultimately leading a large team of inspectors, surveyors and engineers. He then moved to the major loss arena where he has developed skills in the management of large and complex losses. Other experience includes the management of contractors all risks claims, assessment /preparation of value at risk surveys. His experience extends to a broad range of both property and construction losses of all values across a wide cross section of industries and sectors.
