John is a major loss team leader and property expert. He has been responsible for property claims worth tens of millions and has given expert advice on values at risk for historic buildings with sums insured up to £100 million.
John was sponsored through university by a multinational building contractor, then qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. His first experience of loss adjusting was the riot damage claims in Handsworth, Birmingham closely followed by widespread storm damage in the South during 1987. He has been involved in high profile incidents including the IRA bombings in London and large fires to historic buildings. John has dealt with losses at Coventry and Peterborough Cathedrals and was involved with claims for The National Trust for more than 10 years.
